The tour departs in the morning at 6.00a.m. The park is 12 km from the city centre and is home to plenty of migratory game despite its small size, being only 114km squared. The morning is spent tracking some of the many species found here. Drive to the Daphne Sheldrick’s elephant orphanage to witness their mudbath and feeding session at close range and afterwards proceed for lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant, dubbed ‘the meat eater’s paradise’. After lunch we visit the Giraffe Centre where you can feed the Rothschild’s giraffe by hand from a specially constructed observation platform. Our next and final stop will be the Karen Blixen Museum of the ‘Out of Africa’ fame, returning to the your hotel in the evening.
