Day 2 Masai Mara
After breakfast, taking a picnic lunch with you proceed to spend the day
tracking game with your guide. The Mara is magical in the morning: the
birds are singing, the morning air smells fresh and cool, and the
wildlife is just waking up to greet the day. Zebra’s frolic and greet
each other, a pair of jackals prance through the grass in search of mice
or a rabbit. Baboons charter noisily and giraffe watch you as they
nibble on their breakfast of acacia leaves. You may even come across a
family feeding together on last night’s kill, or a leopard snoozing on a
tree. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool and in the evening
return to the campsite or Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Masai Mara - Nakuru
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive during which all the big five may
be seen namely elephant, buffalo and lion; the sighting of rhino and
leopard which make the total five is chance dependent as they are few in
number, very shy and elusive though the guides have excellent game
finding skills. After breakfast, taking a picnic lunch with you, depart
the Mara region for Nakuru, arriving in the evening. Dinner and
overnight at a budget class hotel or Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 4 Lake Nakuru - Nairobi
